A 1996 British black comedy drama film directed by Danny Boyle, and starring Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller, Kevin McKidd, Robert Carlyle and Kelly Macdonald in her film debut. The film was based on the 1993 novel by Irvine Welsh.

Trainspotting is about a group of heroin-addicted friends in a tough Edinburgh neighbourhood, following their chaotic lives, failed attempts at getting clean, and deep dive into urban decay, addiction, and friendship, centred around protagonist Mark Renton's struggle to escape the cycle, all presented with dark humour, vibrant style.

A true modern British classic, this iconic film got a sequel in 2017 with the original cast returning.
