An original Three Sheet poster for the 1959 release of “Expresso Bongo", the poster has the inevitable tears and staining, with the worst being to the bottom left, but once mounted and framed will display superbly.

Expresso Bongo is a British drama musical film directed by Val Guest, shot in uncredited black & white Dyaliscope and starring Laurence Harvey, Cliff Richard, Sylvia Syms and Yolande Donlan. It was written by Wolf Mankowitz adapted from the stage musical of the same name by Julian More, which was first produced at the Saville Theatre, London, on 23 April 1958.

Laurence Harvey plays sleazy hustler Johnny Jackson, who is always on the lookout for fresh talent to exploit, while managing his hectic life with his stripper girlfriend. Maise is looking to find a better life in singing. He discovers a teenage singer named Bert Rudge, played by Cliff Richard, in a coffee shop and sets about sending him along the rocky road to fame. He changes his name to Bongo Herbert and soon gets him a record deal and a relationship with singing sensation Dixie, played by Yolande Donlan.

"Laurence Harvey in an outstanding and different motion picture that takes you into a world of burlesque houses ... jazz dens ... and flesh-and-blood people!"
