Spiderman is a 2002 superhero film starring Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and Willem Dafoe. Directed by Sam Raimi and written by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.
This poster was released prior to 9/11 and was promptly recalled by Sony Pictures after the national tragedy due to the reflection of the 'Twin Towers' in Spiderman’s eyes. Not all of the posters made it back to Sony and are now very sought after due to their rarity - this is one of those posters.
Teenager Peter Parker is transformed into an extraordinary superhero after he is accidentally bitten by a radioactive spider.
When his beloved uncle is savagely murdered during a robbery, young Peter vows to use his powers to avenge his death. Deeming himself Spiderman, he sets about ridding the streets of crime, bringing him into conflict with malevolent super-villain "Green Goblin."
"There is a thin line between being an ordinary man and an extraordinary hero. In 2002, that line will be crossed."
