A British adventure film adaptation of the 1902 novel The Four Feathers, directed by Terence Young and Zoltan Korda. It featured Anthony Steel, Laurence Harvey, James Robertson Justice, Mary Ure, Ian Carmichael, Michael Hordern and Christopher Lee. The film was shot on location in Sudan.

Defying his family's proud military tradition, Harry Faversham decides to avoid the British war in the Sudan by staying at home in London. His fellow officers dismiss Harry as a coward, and his fiancée, Mary Burroughs, calls off their engagement. The shame eventually compels him to join the struggle. Embarking on a secret quest for redemption, Harry goes to extreme measures to help his three imperilled friends.
