An original American One Sheet poster for the 1950 release of “The Men”, hand-signed and dated by both Fred Zinnemann and Stanley Kramer.

The poster has separation on the upper cross fold, along with general fold and edge wear, but retains its vibrant colours, a strong candidate for linen-backing and once complete would display superbly well.

The Men is an American drama film set mostly in a paraplegic ward of a VA hospital. The film stars Marlon Brando (in his film debut) as ex-GI Ken, who, as a result of a war wound, is paralysed and bound to a wheelchair. Suffering from depression and an impaired self-concept, Ken struggles to cope with his disability and his need to accept care from others, including that of the woman who loves him.

The film was directed by Fred Zinnemann, written by Carl Foreman, produced by Stanley Kramer and stars Teresa Wright and Everett Sloane. It received generally favourable reviews and an Academy Award nomination for writing.

”A paralysed war vet tries to adjust to the world without the use of his limbs."
