Pulp Fiction is an American independent crime film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino from a story he conceived with Roger Avary. It tells four intertwining tales of crime and violence in Los Angeles, California. The film stars John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis, Tim Roth, Ving Rhames and Uma Thurman.

Two hitmen are out to retrieve a suitcase stolen from their employer, mob boss Marsellus Wallace. Wallace has also asked them to take his wife Mia out. Butch Coolidge is an ageing boxer. Honey Bunny and Pumpkin are a couple of young lovers and small-time thieves. The lives of these seemingly unrelated people are woven together in a wildly entertaining adventure that both thrills and amuses.

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men..."
