An original British Quad poster for the 1996 release of “Trainspotting”

Trainspotting is a 1996 British black comedy crime film directed by Danny Boyle's seminal film "Trainspotting" which was originally released in 1996 and changed the face of British cinema. Starring Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller, Kevin McKidd, Robert Carlyle, and Kelly Macdonald in her debut, the film was based on the novel of the same title by Irvine Welsh.

Heroin addict Mark Renton stumbles through bad ideas and sobriety attempts with his unreliable friends -- Sick Boy, Begbie, Spud and Tommy. He also has an underage girlfriend, Diane, along for the ride. After cleaning up and moving from Edinburgh to London, Mark finds he can't escape the life he left behind when Begbie shows up at his front door on the lam, and a scheming Sick Boy follows.
A true modern British classic, this iconic film got a sequel in 2017 with the original cast returning.

“Choose your future. Choose life... But why would I want to do a thing like that? I chose not to choose life. I chose somethin' else.”
