Aliens is a 1986 science fiction action film written and directed by James Cameron. It is the sequel to the 1979 science fiction horror film Alien, and the second film in the Alien franchise. Set in the far future, it stars Sigourney Weaver as Ellen Ripley ably supported by Michael Biehn, Paul Reiser, Lance Henriksen, and Carrie Henn.

Aliens follows Ellen Ripley, rescued after 57 years in hypersleep, who reluctantly joins Colonial Marines to investigate a lost colony on LV-426, the same moon from Alien, only to find it overrun by Xenomorphs, forcing her to fight alongside the soldiers and a young survivor named Newt to escape the hive and the alien Queen, culminating in a final showdown where Ripley defeats the Queen to save Newt.
