Tony Rome is an American neo-noir mystery crime thriller film directed by Gordon Douglas and starring Frank Sinatra in the title role, alongside Jill St. John, Sue Lyon and Gena Rowlands. It was adapted from Marvin H. Albert's novel Miami Mayhem.

A sequel, Lady in Cement, was made in 1968, again featuring Sinatra as Tony Rome, and co-starring Raquel Welch and Dan Blocker. Appearing in both films was Richard Conte as Miami police lieutenant Dave Santini.
Both films are examples of a late-1960s neo-noir trend that updated the hard-boiled detective and police dramas of the 1940s.

Ex-cop-turned-private eye Tony Rome needs work, so when his former partner shows up with a seemingly easy job tracking down a spoiled heiress, Tony jumps on the case. He finds the woman quickly, but when her father discovers that her jewellery has gone missing, he hires Tony to find the thieves. Tony's investigation angers the wrong people, and when his partner ends up dead, he discovers there may be more to this case than some missing jewellery.

"Why Get Bruised, Man? Let Tony Rome Do It... He Gets Paid for It!"
