Original One Sheet poster for the 1967 release of Ken Loach’s kitchen sink drama “No Tears For Joy”, the poster is in great condition, although with multiple minor edge tears: once mounted will look stunning.

No Tears for Joy (also known as Poor Cow) is a British kitchen sink drama film directed by Ken Loach and starring Carol White and Terence Stamp. It was written by Loach and Nell Dunn based on Dunn's 1967 novel of the same name. It was Loach's first feature film, after a series of successful TV productions, most notably Up The Junction and Cathy Come Home.

Joy, a young, working-class single mother in London's slums, whose life is defined by a series of turbulent relationships with criminals. After her abusive husband is imprisoned, she moves in with his associate, Dave, for a better life, only for him to be jailed for a botched robbery. The film follows Joy's struggle for happiness amidst poverty and mistreatment, ultimately leading her to a cycle of fleeting, often transactional relationships with men, while she attempts to provide for her son.

“When two arms close around her ... She knows she's home. Two arms will do. Any two arms will do.”
